China‘s grain quality inspection system is developing with the aim of enhancing the quality of grain products and supervising grain sanitation and security. Currently, there are more than 800 quality inspection institutions at all levels in China. Entrusted by local grain administrations and other governmental agencies, these institutions are responsible for inspecting and examining the quality and sanitation conditions of grain and oils products as well as processed products; formulating, popularizing and educating quality criteria; and providing grain and oils inspection service for other social sectors.
